Meet the Team

Certintell is a HIPAA and PHI-compliant, cloud-based telehealth platform that allows safety-net providers to reach underserved populations. The technology seamlessly integrates with leading FQHC electronic medical records while making a spectrum of comprehensive services more accessible and affordable for those who need it most. Secure messaging and pictures; HIPAA compliant video; scheduling capability (with a virtual waiting room feature); payment processing; branded interface; client and tech support; professional telehealth consulting; medical device integration are all included.

Founder of the company, Benjamin is responsible for leading the Certintell team. Certintell is a digital health/patient engagement company focused on the underserved population.  Benjamin most recently was a Product Manager for Genentech focused on the FQHC market and HEP C. Moreover, he helped implement a Telemedicine program while at Genentech (Project ECHO), which connected University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics specialists to rural patients and their practitioners.



Mr. Hills is an accomplished technology executive with over twenty-five years of experience managing software solution design, development, testing and deployment of client centric SaaS, Cloud Computing, Mobile and Enterprise Software solutions in the health care space. Prior to joining Certintell, Mr. Hills built an electronic medical record, Medinotes, and led technology and product development in the company before a successful exit.



Huzefa has a background in both health care and education. This brings a strong and unique perspective to the leadership team. He is responsible for business development which includes strategy, planning and market development for Certintell. His specialties include strategic multi-year projects, providing educational info and best practices for clients and partners around telehealth. Huzefa is especially passionate about social justice and reducing disparities in health for the underserved and migrant populations.



Mr. Thomas has spent a significant part of his career in the health care sector in a variety of patient outcome and relationship management positions.  Most notably as a national account executive with EMR giant Allscripts.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Graceland University and an MBA from the University of Missouri.
